Throughout his more than 30 years of practicing law, Mr. Milavetz has helped thousands of injured victims in the Twin Cities, and throughout Minnesota, seek justice against negligent parties. His cases have included car, truck, motorcycle, pedestrian and bicycle accidents; slip-and-falls; serious injuries such as traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury; animal attacks; mass tort; defective medical devices; medical malpractice; work-related illnesses; and workplace accidents. Mr. Milavetz is known as a passionate advocate and has achieved many million-dollar settlements, and awards for his clients.

After earning a Bachelor of Arts in speech communications from the University of Minnesota, Mr. Milavetz attended  William Mitchell College of Law. He graduated in 1984, with a Juris Doctor. Later, Mr. Milavetz added to his legal talents, receiving certification in mediation skills training from the Minnesota State Bar Association. He is  certified as a civil law mediator and arbitrator under rule 114, regarding alternative dispute resolution, of the Minnesota Courts' General Rules of Practice.

Mr. Milavetz is active in his local and legal communities. He is a member of many legal organizations, including the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, the American Association for Justice, the Minnesota State Bar Association, the Minnesota Association for Justice and the American Bar Association. In his spare time, Mr. Milavetz researches genealogy and serves on several non-profit boards, and has participated in international humanitarian missions.
