James T. Williamson

A family law attorney with Williamson Family Law, PLLC, James T. Williamson represents clients in Scott, Carver and Hennepin County in Minnesota. Mr. Williamson attended the University of North Dakota and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science and a major in computer science. He then moved on to law school and graduated in 2003 with his Juris Doctor from the William Mitchell College of Law. A veteran of the United States Air Force, he is admitted to practice in the state of Minnesota.

While Mr. Williamson understands the value of negotiation when it comes to family law matters, he is fully prepared to litigate if necessary, to settle the case in the best interests of his clients. He is an experienced negotiator who extensively uses alternative dispute methods such as mediation to avoid any unnecessary stress or strain on his clients.

Known as an analytical thinker and a creative problem solver, before Mr. Williamson started practicing law, he worked as an information technology professional, overseeing network administration and design. His approach is methodical enough to be time-saving and cost-effective, as well as emotional enough to provide compassion to his clients during a time when they need it the most.
