Active in his legal community, Mr. Stowman has served on the board of directors for the Minnesota Association for Justice since 2007, and he is also an active member of the Minnesota State Bar Association.
Committed to his local community as well, he has served in a number of leadership roles with the Kiwanis Club of Detroit Lakes, and he once served as board president for the city's Boys & Girls Club. In addition, he helped establish the city of Detroit Lakes Community Strategies Committee, which has supported several initiatives to bring much-needed improvements and recreational opportunities to the area. He is a long-time youth hockey coach and has served on the board of directors for Detroit Lakes Youth Hockey for the past several years.
