Andrew Poole is committed to representing clients in Duluth, Minnesota, and the surrounding area. He focuses his practice on defending the criminally accused. His law firm, Andrew, Bransky & Poole, P.A., has been helping those in Northern Minnesota for decades. As a criminal defense lawyer, Andrew has handed the following matters: homicide, kidnapping and stalking, criminal sexual conduct, assault, domestic assault, harassment and restraining orders, solicitation and prostitution, arson, burglary, theft and shoplifting, drug sale and possession, driving while impaired, and hit-and-runs.
Mr. Poole also handles cases involving military law, student crimes, trespassing, criminal damage, disorderly conduct, obstruction and resisting arrest, probation violations, vehicle forfeiture and expungement. Additionally, he takes on Social Security Disability cases.
A native of Minnesota, Mr. Poole received a Bachelor of Arts in economics and Spanish in 2007 from Minnesota State University, Mankato. He went on to earn a Juris Doctor in 2010 from the William Mitchell College of Law. While in law school, he served as editor of the school’s Law Raza Journal of Law and Diversity.
Starting his career with the public defender’s office, Mr. Poole gained valuable experience protecting the rights of those accused of committing a crime. Using strict attention to detail and aggressive representation, he obtains dismissals and reduced charges for his clients. For his successes, he holds an Avvo “Superb” rating, and he has been named in The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100.
An active participant in the legal community, Mr. Poole holds memberships with the Minnesota Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Additionally, he served three terms as President the City of Duluth’s Charter Commission. He also served our Country for over 20 years in the United States Army Reserve. In 2023, he retired as a Judge Advocate General, and is particularly interested in serving Minnesota's important veteran community.
