Daniel Sathre brings over 15 years of rich legal experience to his role at Hellmuth & Johnson in Edina, Minnesota, where he primarily delves into construction and lien law, construction defects, warranties and business litigation. His background as lead outside counsel, in-house counsel and business owner has sharpened his approach to legal advocacy, focusing on achieving the best financial and reputational outcomes for his clients through meticulous and strategic oral and written arguments.
In the corporate arena, Mr. Sathre has guided privately held companies on various matters such as contract negotiation and drafting, entity creation, corporate charters and bylaws, general corporate representation, risk management, compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks, corporate governance and shareholder disputes. His comprehensive understanding of these areas led to his appointment to the board of directors as chief legal officer for a significant green hydrogen manufacturing project in the Southwest United States.
On the litigation front, Mr. Sathre has managed and led numerous high-stakes commercial litigation cases across the country, representing a spectrum of clients from large financial bodies to private and public companies. His litigation work spans several key areas, including financial services, construction disputes and real estate litigation, to name a few.
After receiving his B.A. from the University of Minnesota in 2006, Mr. Sathre earned his J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School in 2009. He is licensed to practice in both the Minnesota State Court and the Minnesota Federal Court. Before his current role, he represented various clientele in matters ranging from construction and lien law to corporate governance and complex commercial litigation.
