KC Ahrens

Klay Crowley “KC” Ahrens is a partner with the law firm of Hellmuth & Johnson, PLLC. KC represents a variety of clients in a wide range of practice areas, including, complex litigation, business litigation, insurance litigation, insurance coverage, and appeals. During his career, Mr. Ahrens has gained extensive trial experience in defending class action lawsuits and consumer claims.  KC serves as chair of Hellmuth & Johnson's insurance defense practice group, and has long been recognized as one of the leading trial attorneys defending multi-national insurance companies and their insureds in a multitude of matters involving general liability, products liability, premises liability, insurance coverage and fraud, and automobile casualty.

KC graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, and then went on to obtain his Juris Doctor from Mitchell Hamline School of Law.

KC is admitted to practice throughout the state and federal courts of Minnesota.  He routinely practices in other jurisdictions, both state and federal.  KC is also admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit.

KC is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association and the Hennepin County Bar Association. An engaging speaker and presenter, he lectures in continuing legal education programs on issues related to uninsured and underinsured motorist benefit claims, as well as claims under the Minnesota No-Fault Act.

With extensive experience in highly complex legal matters, he is responsive and attentive to clients, and uses his strong legal skills combined with strong communication skills to obtain successful results.
