Attorney Kimberly G. Miller is the founder of KM Family Law in Edina, Minnesota. Ms. Miller devotes her practice entirely to family law, serving clients in the Greater Metro Area, including Minneapolis, St. Paul, and all the Twin Cities suburbs. As a seasoned litigator, she is also trained in alternative dispute resolution techniques and collaborative law.

Ms. Miller graduated with honors from Brown University and went on to earn her law degree from Cornell Law School. She also holds a master’s degree in counseling psychology with a family concentration from the University of St. Thomas.

In addition, Ms. Miller is a licensed associate marriage and family therapist and a certified divorce financial analyst through the Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts. She received training in collaborative law through the Collaborative Law Institute of Minnesota and training in family mediation through Mitchell Hamline School of Law’s Mediation Center.

Licensed to practice law in Minnesota since 2002, Ms. Miller is also admitted before the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Before founding her own firm in 2010, she spent eight years as an attorney at a private Minneapolis-based law firm.

Outside of her practice, Ms. Miller has lectured on collaborative divorce and family law topics for various law firms and legal organizations throughout the Twin Cities region, as well as for collaborative law groups. She is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, Minnesota Women Lawyers, the Collaborative Law Institute of Minnesota and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals. She also has extensive experience in community efforts, including being Chair of the Board of Sunny Hollow Montessori for five years.
