Neven Selimovic

Neven Selimovic is an associate at Hellmuth & Johnson in Edina, Minnesota, where he diligently handles a variety of commercial litigation matters, supports intellectual property issues and contributes to legal writing across all areas of litigation. Mr. Selimovic attended the University of Minnesota, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in biology, society and environment in 2013. Following his undergraduate studies, he pursued a Juris Doctor at Mitchell Hamline School of Law, graduating in 2018. During his time at law school, he was heavily involved in activities that honed his legal skills; he served as president of the Student Intellectual Property Law Association, was a staff writer for the Cybaris Intellectual Property Review and participated in the Giles-Rich IP Moot Court Competition. His academic excellence was recognized through several scholarships and awards, including the Merchant & Gould IP Scholarship, the Baker IP Scholarship and the CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in IP appellate practice.

Beyond his academic achievements, Mr. Selimovic is actively involved in the legal community. He plays a significant role in the Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association, where he co-chairs the Diversity Committee and serves as an editor for the association’s quarterly publication. His commitment to diversity and inclusion in the legal field is a testament to his dedication to bringing about positive change.

Mr. Selimovic is licensed to practice in both state and federal courts in Minnesota and is a registered patent attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. His affiliations include being an active member of the Hennepin County Bar Association.
