Nicole Ann Whitlock

Nicole Ann Whitlock is a dedicated family law attorney based in Edina, Minnesota, who brings both professional competence and genuine compassion to each client’s case. At Hellmuth & Johnson, she focuses her practice on divorce, child custody and domestic relations.

Raised within her mother’s law practice, Ms. Whitlock developed an early appreciation for the profound impact thoughtful legal counsel can have on families navigating difficult transitions. This childhood immersion fostered a natural affinity for family law, guiding her ultimately toward a career devoted to preserving dignity, resolving conflict and securing fair outcomes for those she serves. 

After earning her Bachelor of Science degree from Iowa State University in 2021, Ms. Whitlock pursued her Juris Doctor at Mitchell Hamline School of Law, graduating in 2024. The same year, she was admitted to practice before the Minnesota State Bar Association (MSBA) and the Minnesota district courts. Recognizing the importance of collaborative problem solving, she became a Qualified Neutral under Rule 114 of the Minnesota General Rules of Practice, enabling her to facilitate alternative dispute resolution in both family and civil matters.

An active member of the MSBA, Ms. Whitlock contributes to the Family Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution and Children and the Law sections.
