Stephanie J. Hill

As the founder of Hill Crabb, LLC, Stephanie J. Hill focuses her practice on divorce and other family law matters. Located in Edina, Minnesota, she serves clients in Hennepin County and other parts of the state. In addition to handling divorce legal issues such as property division, parenting time, and spousal and child support, Ms. Hill's experience has encompassed stepparent adoptions and grandparents' rights.

After graduating from Hamline University with a Bachelor of Arts in American law and legal systems, Ms. Hill's introduction to family law came early as she was a party in a related matter prior to attending law school. She endured nearly two years of litigation, five days of trial, and incurred legal fees in excess of $50,000, but she prevailed. After emerging victorious, she decided to become an attorney and help others who are facing divorce and related family law issues.

Her road to becoming a lawyer began at the University of St. Thomas School of Law. Ms. Hill obtained certifications for civil mediation and family mediation from the Mitchell Hamline School of Law's Dispute Resolution Institute in 2007. After graduating from law school, she was admitted to practice before all Minnesota state courts in 2008.

Family law matters can often be emotional as well as contentious, and Ms. Hill often tries to ease the burden on her clients by helping them to reach an accord through taking the lead on negotiations as well as assisting them in mediation sessions. However, when that is not possible, she is a forceful courtroom advocate on their behalf.
