Pete Radosevich and Radosevich Law Office serves Carlton County and St. Louis County in northern Minnesota, for over 25 years now. He is the Chair of the local Family Law section of the Minnesota Bar Association, and focuses his work on probate and real estate, divorce, and general litigation including personal injury cases.

He's known for his concern and compassion for his clients, while strongly advocating for his clients. Mr. Radosevich believes that being thoroughly prepared for trial makes it easier to settle, thus keeping legal fees reasonable. His in-depth study in preparation for trial helps in better negotiation and settlement. Even when he is a fierce litigator while on trial, he is sensitive to the predicaments of his clients, especially in cases of family law when children or complex assets are involved. He takes the role of an aggressive advocate while supporting a client against an opponent who tries to take advantage of his party’s vulnerabilities.

Mr. Radosevich is experienced in handling complex probate cases and real estate transactions such as boundary disputes, adverse possession and zoning. He is handles many evictions, for both landlords and tenants. Furthermore, he has successfully litigated a variety of personal injury cases and has argued in the Minnesota Court of Appeals and the Minnesota Supreme Court. He finds satisfaction in getting his clients the rightful compensation they deserve from insurance companies who try to deny them justice.

A  graduate of the University of Minnesota, Mr. Radosevich obtained his law degree in 1996 from the William Mitchell College of Law, St. Paul, Minnesota. He was licensed to practice in Minnesota the same year and has been putting in sincere efforts to serve his clients since.

Mr. Radosevich is an active member of the Minnesota Association for Justice, and his firm was recently named “Law Firm of the Year” by the Volunteer Attorney Program which recognizes firms in Northern Minnesota that provide quality legal services to those with minimal means to afford them. Apart from his professional service, he takes out time to volunteer for numerous legal organizations.

Verdicts / Settlements (Case Results)

  • Defend Civil Commitments for outstate counties in area Courts; defending rights of those facing civil commitment, 2015 - 2019
  • Obtained a favorable settlement of an injury at a sporting event despite a strong defense based on the so-called "baseball rule" of assumed liability, 2019
  • Won a substantial jury verdict in a premises liability case in a case no other local attorney would take on contingency, due to the contributory negligence of the Plaintiff. The jury found the Plaintiff only 30% liable, and awarded substantial damages. Ironically, the Plaintiff used his judgment to hire the defense's expert witness to make repairs to his foot and ankle, with excellent results, 2012
  • Appealed a Putative Spouse divorce; lost, but obtained a rare dissent from the Court of Appeals, 2018
  • Settled (just before suit) an assault against a juvenile by a public school employee. The plaintiff's parents had consulted a dozen lawyers who turned this case down, before having the good sense to hire a local attorney who understands the area. It took very thorough preparation and strategic planning to build the case and determine damages, and after confronted with the inevitable, the school's insurance carrier finally settled for our demand just prior to filing suit, 2017
  • Obtained a favorable settlement, during trial, of a bully debt-collector issue. The debt collector refused to settle and during trial, as the debt collector realized the case was slipping away, agreed to a settlement for less than 1/3 the original debt, with no costs or fees or, most importantly, no attorney's fees, which the debt collector asserted they were entitled to, in a substantial amount., 2014
  • Settled a vehicle-pedestrian collision where the initial offer from the vehicle owner's insurance company was zero- a denial of liability. The case settled for the car owner's policy limits, and we settled the pedestrian's UIM claim for his policy limits, as well. This case involved developing extensive expert testimony that left no doubt that the accident did not happen the way the vehicle owner said it did, 2017
  • Settled a tragic wrongful death case caused by an intentional act of a deranged person. Not only did I recover the policy limits available, as well as worker's compensation benefits, for the surviving family, I also discovered the deranged person was collecting alimony, which was assignable to the surviving family as additional payments towards the wrongful death damages, 2016
