Lisa Chesley

A family law and estate planning attorney, Lisa Chesley is a valuable member of the Chesley Law Firm and represents clients in Minnesota as they deal with the difficult process of divorce or prepare their assets for after death. Mpls. St. Paul Magazine named her one of the Top Women Attorneys Rising Stars in 2018 for her exceptional service and high-quality legal representation.

A graduate of Hamline University School of Law, she earned her Juris Doctor from the school in 2015. A member of the Sixth District Bar Association, the Minnesota State Bar Association and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Ms. Chesley is admitted to practice in federal and state courts throughout the state of Minnesota.

A passionate believer in giving back to the community, she volunteers for several organizations in the community, including the Greater Mankato Area United Way and the Committee Against Domestic Abuse. As she works with clients to make the legal process easier to understand, Ms. Chesley also helps them come up with creative solutions to complex problems and advises them on how to make informed, wise decisions at important times in their lives.

In her estate planning practice, Ms. Chesley handles cases of probate, conservatorships and guardianships, special needs trusts, supplements needs trusts, health care directives, powers of attorney, and trusts and wills. With a goal to help clients reach their goals, she pledges to protect their best interests as they make important decisions about the future.
