Jennifer Nixon is a family law attorney at Henningson & Snoxell, Ltd., in Maple Grove, Minnesota. She represents clients throughout Minnesota in divorce matters. With over 11 years of legal experience, she handles complex divorce issues and also assists with cases involving property division, spousal maintenance, child custody, parenting time, domestic violence, paternity and more.

Ms. Nixon graduated summa cum laude from the University of Minnesota with a bachelor’s degree in criminology and political science in 2007. To fulfill her childhood dream of becoming an attorney, she pursued law at Mitchell Hamline School of Law and earned her J.D. in 2011. During her time at the law school, she served as a staff editor of William Mitchell Law Review and as the treasurer of the Women Law Students Association and Disability Law Society.
Ms. Nixon gained practical legal experience while attending law school by serving as a research assistant for the dean of the law school. Furthermore, she served as a teaching assistant at the University of Minnesota – Duluth, Psychology Department. She holds a license to practice law before the state and federal courts of Minnesota.
Active in her legal community, Ms. Nixon is a member of the Hennepin County Bar Association, the Minnesota State Bar Association (MSBA), the Minnesota Women Lawyers and Collaborative Divorce Minnesota. She volunteers with the MSBA’s Wills for Heroes and is a former board member of the Collaborative Law Institute of Minnesota and past president of Business Network International’s Full Circle Chapter.
