Aaron R. Thom

A representative of individuals and companies in the Twin Cities area, Aaron R. Thom is an attorney with Thom Ellingson, PLLP, who handles cases of franchise litigation, business litigation, criminal defense and property tax appeals. His experience extends to a long list of complex civil matters, including corporate tort cases, common-law and RICO fraud actions, franchise-law disputes and administrative actions.

Admitted to practice in the state of Minnesota and before the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota, the United States District Court for the District of Colorado and the United States Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit, Mr. Thom was named by the Minnesota State Bar Association as a North Star Lawyer. This distinction was given in 2016 and is awarded to those who provide over 50 hours of pro bono legal services.

After graduating summa cum laude from Bethel University with a Bachelor of Arts in 2008, Mr. Thom attended the University of Minnesota Law School, where he graduated magna cum laude in 2011 with a Juris Doctor. He is active in the community with the Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Twin Cities and has published a piece on criminal defense discovery.

Mr. Thom’s experience extends to defending those accused of crimes ranging from assault to identity theft and bank fraud. He has obtained acquittals and dismissals and is committed to going the distance to obtain a resolution that is favorable to the freedom of his clients.
