Anna E. Tobia

Anna E. Tobia is a senior associate at the law firm of Groshek Law PA located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Licensed to practice law in Minnesota since 2017, she concentrates her practice on matters including criminal defense, family law, child protection, maltreatment, professional licensure, tax law, appeals and wills.

With a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in law and society from the Winona State University, Ms. Tobia pursued her paralegal studies degree from North Hennepin Community College. She worked as a litigation secretary and later went on to study law. Ms. Tobia earned her law degree from the Mitchell Hamline School of Law. 

While she was studying law, Ms. Tobia served as a certified student attorney while clerking for the Washington County Public Defender's Office, dealing with bail hearings for clients. She later clerked at the Dakota County Public Defender's Office, gaining invaluable experience with juvenile delinquency and pretrial matters. She also served as a certified student attorney for the Legal Assistance to Minnesota Prisoners clinic during her law school.

Ms. Tobia worked as a public defender for the 1st Judicial District in Hastings and also clerked for a renowned Freeborn County District Court judge. She has been active in her community and has served as an after-school program tutor at the YMCA and aided clients to fill out intake forms at the Mankato Drug Court Legal Clinic.  

Ms. Tobia is the recipient of the Outstanding Service Award by the Minnesota Justice Foundation and has received a “Very Good” rating on Avvo for her remarkable work in the legal field.
