Christina Zauhar is a defense attorney and partner at Halberg Criminal Defense in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Passionate about protecting her clients' rights, she works hard to ensure her clients receive a fair trial, aggressively challenging the prosecution's evidence in order to obtain the most favorable outcome possible for those she serves. Through her efforts, she has successfully defended numerous clients against all types of criminal charges, including DWI, assault and domestic assault, malicious punishment of a child, criminal sexual conduct, and murder.
After receiving her Bachelor of Arts in 2009 from Hamline University, Ms. Zauhar attended Hamline University School of Law (now Mitchell Hamline School of Law), obtaining her Juris Doctor in 2012. The Minnesota State Bar Association admitted her to practice that same year, and Ms. Zauhar joined Halberg Criminal Defense, where she focuses solely on criminal law.
Along with her law degree, she also received her certification in advocacy and problem solving from Hamline University School of Law, enabling her to devise more creative defense strategies and negotiate better terms on behalf of her clients.
Dedicated to her practice, Ms. Zauhar is active in several professional legal organizations, including the Minnesota Society for Criminal Justice, Minnesota Women Lawyers, the Minnesota State Bar Association, and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Recognized for her extensive knowledge of DWI laws, she regularly contributes to the Minnesota DWI Deskbook, a comprehensive reference guide used by prosecutors, judges and defense attorneys throughout the state. She is co-author of Minnesota's Rape Shield Law: A Sword for Prosecutors, A Blow to Defendants' Constitutional Rights published in the Mitchell Hamline Law Review. She has also published articles in Attorney at Law Magazine and other legal publications.
