Providing a variety of legal services for individuals and businesses, Daniel M. Eaton is a real estate attorney at Waypoint Law PLLC located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He represents clients in the Twin Cities area and throughout Minnesota. Licensed to practice in the state courts of Minnesota since 2008, Mr. Eaton is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit, and the U.S. District Court for the District of Western Wisconsin.
Certified as a specialist in real property law by the Minnesota State Bar Association, Mr. Eaton devotes a considerable amount of time to that subject. He has represented both buyers and sellers in the purchase and sale of residential and commercial properties, and he has handled cases governed by the federal Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, as well as those involving fraud, construction defects, mortgage servicing disputes and wrongful foreclosures.
Outside of real estate law matters, Mr. Eaton has an active business law practice that involves assisting entrepreneurs with respect to the most appropriate form of legal entity for their new ventures, as well as sales and acquisitions, litigation, and general advice and counsel.
Mr. Eaton is a member of the Hennepin County Bar Association and the Real Property Law Section of the Minnesota State Bar Association. A 1996 recipient of a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism with honors from the University of Montana, he obtained his legal education at the University of St. Thomas School of Law and was awarded his Juris Doctor cum laude in 2008.
