Elizabeth M. Fors

Elizabeth M. Fors is an associate at Robins Kaplan LLP, the national litigation firm. Based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, she focuses her practice exclusively on personal injury and wrongful death litigation, representing clients throughout the state as well as in North Dakota. Ms. Fors is admitted to practice before all state courts in both of those jurisdictions.

Ms. Fors provides advice and counsel to people who have been harmed due to the negligence of other parties. A significant portion of her practice has been centered on medical malpractice, and she has handled motor vehicle crashes and other similar matters as well. During her tenure at Robins Kaplan LLP, Ms. Fors has been able to obtain significant compensation for her plaintiff clients, both through jury awards and as a result of settlements that she has been able to negotiate with defendants and their insurers. One of her representative results was a verdict of $20.6 million on behalf of the surviving family members of a woman who died after a health care practitioner ignored critical lab tests, and another was a $1.655 million settlement in a case involving a motor vehicle accident.

Ms. Fors attended the University of Minnesota, where she majored in speech communications and received a Bachelor of Arts in 1996. After graduation, she spent several years as a television producer and then was a paralegal at a personal injury law firm before enrolling at what was then known as Hamline University School of Law. Ms. Fors continued working as a paralegal at that firm while in law school before being awarded her Juris Doctor summa cum laude in 2015. She serves on the board of governors of the Minnesota Association for Justice and is a member of several other professional groups.
