F. Clayton Tyler

F. Clayton Tyler is the founder and principal attorney of his own law firm in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he offers dedicated legal counsel to individuals dealing with criminal charges throughout Minnesota. At the law office of F. Clayton Tyler, P.A., his practice area is mainly focused on criminal defense matters, including assault and battery, criminal domestic violence, weapons charges, DUI/DWIs, drug and alcohol violations, white collar crimes, burglary and felony charges.

Academically accomplished, Mr. Tyler graduated with his bachelor’s degree from Augsburg University in 1972. Later, he went on to attend the University of Minnesota Law School, where he received his Juris Doctor in 1979. The same year he graduated from law school, he obtained his license to practice law in Minnesota.

With more than 45 years of experience in the legal field, Mr. Tyler works hard to achieve his clients’ goals, always with passion and calm. He is also a board-certified criminal law specialist and has been recognized for winning two federal drug cases within six months.

An active participant within his legal community, Mr. Tyler is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit, the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community Tribal Court and the Prairie Island Indian Community Tribal Court.

Beyond the courtroom, Mr. Tyler holds memberships in several prestigious legal organizations, such as the American Association for Justice, the Minnesota State Bar Association and the Hennepin County Bar Association. He is also on the board of directors at the Minneapolis Urban League, and he served as the former president of the Minnesota Association of Black Lawyers and the Minnesota Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
