Ian Birrell

Ian S. Birrell is a partner at the Birrell Law Firm, PLLC, located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. With over ten years of experience practicing law, he takes on the most serious state and federal crimes. He thrives in complex cases, including large fraud investigations. He concentrates his practice on criminal defense matters, including the following:

With a major in economics and philosophy, Mr. Birrell received his Bachelor of Science degree in 2011 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He studied law at the University of Minnesota Law School and earned his Juris Doctor cum laude in 2014. In law school, he served as a student attorney at the Robins Kaplan Civil Practice Clinic.

Additionally, Mr. Birrell was the recipient of the Robina Scholarship. He is authorized to practice in Minnesota and before the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit.
