Details
John Schulz has extensive trial practice experience in family law, civil litigation, professional negligence matters, and service to businesses and professionals.
John is certified as a Family Trial Law Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy (NBTA), currently one of fourteen in Minnesota. He is also a Minnesota State Bar Association (MSBA) Civil Trial Senior Specialist, a certification awarded to less than 3% of trial attorneys in Minnesota, under an ABA Accredited Lawyer Certification Program. John is one of two lawyers in Minnesota with both NBTA certification as a Family Trial Law Advocate and MSBA certification as a Civil Trial Specialist. By attaining these certifications, John underscores his dedication to uphold high standards of professional proficiency.
John’s dedication to client satisfaction is grounded in his client-focused philosophy, where he prioritizes accessibility, responsiveness, and the development of creative yet practical solutions tailored to his clients’ needs. While John is proficient in employing diverse forms of alternative dispute resolution, to facilitate constructive resolution, he is also equipped to assist with trial as needed. John is admitted to practice in both Minnesota and Wisconsin.
John’s recognition in the Minnesota Super Lawyers list for three decades, his frequent inclusion in the Top 40 Family Law Super Lawyers list, and his achievement of the highest ability/ethical practices rating (AV) by the bar and judiciary highlight his reputation in the legal profession. His service on the Ramsey County Bar Association District Ethics Committee and past presidency of the Minnesota Association of Mediators and Conflict Resolution Minnesota reflect his commitment to upholding ethical standards and promoting alternative dispute resolution methods.
