The President of the Minneapolis-based law firm Messerli | Kramer, Joshua A. Hasko is a business litigation attorney with more than two decades of experience on legal matters related to:
- Business litigation
- Creditors’ remedies and equipment leasing
- Real estate litigation
- Commercial disputes – contract and business tort litigation
- Fiduciary duty and shareholder claims
Graduating from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 1997, Mr. Hasko obtained his bachelor’s in international relations. It was from the Mitchell Hamline School of Law that he graduated with his Doctor of Jurisprudence cum laude in 2000.
Mr. Hasko is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts in Minnesota and the U.S. District Courts in Wisconsin and North Dakota.
Prior to joining Messerli | Kramer, Mr. Hasko was an attorney and shareholder at a local Minneapolis law firm. Since joining Messerli | Kramer, he has served as chair of the litigation department and on the firm's Board of Directors, where he now serves as a President.
Prioritizing his clients’ well-being, he comes up with practical strategies suitable for the situation depending on their objectives and requirements. Mr. Hasko believes in the importance of social service and works proactively with several local and community organizations to contribute to society. He is also a member of many legal organizations such as the Minnesota State Bar Association, the Hennepin County Bar Association, and the Federal Bar Association.

- Represented manufacturer in defense of breach of contract and Uniform Commercial Code (Article 2) litigation. After underlying claims were resolved, successfully obtained summary judgment against co-defendant distributor arising out of breach of distributor agreement that was affirmed on appeal before the Minnesota Court of Appeals. College City Leasing, LLC v. River Valley Truck Centers, Inc, et al., 2008 WL 3290759 (Minn. Ct. App. 2008) unpublished.
- Represented majority owner in extended multi-million dollar fiduciary duty/partnership dispute, including trial and appellate court proceedings, successfully resolving dispute. Hall v. Hall, Ramsey County District Court, File No. 62-CV-12-8604; Hall v. Hall, 2015 Minn. App. unpublished LEXIS 492.
