Julie Matonich is an attorney and the founder of Matonich Law in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Ms. Matonich's practice is focused on medical malpractice that results in serious injuries to infants, children, and teens. She serves clients throughout Minnesota in state and federal courts.
Ms. Matonich has obtained large settlements and verdicts for her clients over the course of her legal career representing plaintiffs. In one such case, she was part of a trial team in a medical malpractice case that resulted in a $23.2 million verdict for a child who suffered a catastrophic birth injury. Ms. Matonich’s accomplishments have earned her recognition among her peers in the legal profession. She has been selected to Super Lawyers from 2002 to 2005 and every year from 2009 to present. She has been featured every year since 2008 in Best Lawyers in America and was named an “Attorney of the Year” by Minnesota Lawyer in 2010.

She is a founding board member of Children of Incarcerated Caregivers. She had done pro bono legal work through Advocates for Human Rights, representing women seeking asylum in the United States. Additionally, she was a member, from 2010 to 2022, and chairperson of the Weisman Art Museum Colleagues Advisory Board.
