Some of the cases that he has worked on have included his representation of a technology company that was the plaintiff in a lawsuit based on patent claims, the successful defense of a Minnesota-based company that was being sued for intellectual property infringement, the defense of a company in multi-district litigation involving the Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991, and the representation of an inventor who was pursuing patent infringement claims against several major technology companies.

    Mr. Pelikan has extensive experience in pro bono litigation as well. He has represented a Native American tribe in a case involving its treaty rights, and other cases he has donated his services to have involved family law matters and tenants' rights. The Minnesota State Bar Association has recognized his services by naming him a North Star Lawyer, reserved for attorneys who provide 50 or more hours of pro bono legal services per year.

    Mr. Pelikan has authored numerous articles that have appeared in the Minnesota Lawyer and other publications. He obtained his legal education at the University of Minnesota Law School, where he was the editor-in-chief of the Minnesota Law Review before being awarded his Juris Doctor magna cum laude in 2012.

    • Extensive pro-bono experience, including: work on behalf of Native American tribe attempting to vindicate its treaty rights against the Indian Health Service and Department of Health and Human Services; work pursuing tenants’ rights; family law, including obtaining child support and protecting victims of abuse; and animal welfare.
