Growing up in Minnesota, Mr. Fink acquired a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Minnesota in 1978 and a Master of Public Affairs from the Hubert H. Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs in 2009. Subsequently, he received his Juris Doctor from New England Law in Boston, Massachusetts, graduating cum laude in 2012. Mr. Fink has been a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association and a member of the Family Law section of the Hennepin County Bar Association, respectively, since 2012.
Mr. Fink’s success as an attorney was preordained by his academic success during law school. He received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award and the prestigious New England Scholar award during his tenure at New England Law. Mr. Fink first works to arrive at a negotiated settlement that is fair but is undeterred by litigation and prepares each case as if it were destined for the courtroom. Mr. Fink has had notable success in cases where a father was awarded spousal maintenance and one where an out-of-state father was awarded seven consecutive months of parenting time in the father’s home state.
