Details

The owner of Nancy Zalusky Berg, LLC, Nancy Berg focuses her practice exclusively on family law issues. From the firm's office in Minneapolis, Minnesota, she provides representation to clients throughout Minnesota and internationally in a variety of related matters. Ms. Berg assists people who are facing the end of their marriages and who are needing to deal with such issues as the division of complex business interests, child custody and visitation, and alimony and child support. With her extensive experience in mediation, she will at times encourage her clients to reach an accord on some of these issues through that alternative dispute resolution method, but she is a tireless and forceful courtroom advocate for them as well.

In addition to her matrimonial practice, Ms. Berg has extensive experience in helping to obtain appropriate protective orders for clients who have been the victims of domestic violence. She has also handled several cases arising under the Hague Convention of Oct. 25, 1980, on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction as well as other international family law matters. Highly regarded by her fellow professionals, Ms. Berg has received an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell and an "Excellent" peer review rating through Avvo. She has delivered dozens of presentations on a variety of family law topics to continuing legal education seminar attendees as well.

Majoring in law and justice, Ms. Berg attended Antioch College as an undergraduate and received a Bachelor of Arts in 1976. Her legal education was obtained at what was then known as William Mitchell College of Law, and she was awarded her Juris Doctor in 1980. The immediate past president of the International Academy of Family Lawyers, Ms. Berg is an active participant in several other professional organizations.

*AV®, AV Preeminent®, Martindale-Hubbell Distinguished and Martindale-Hubbell Notable are certification marks used under license in accordance with the Martindale-Hubbell certification procedures, standards and policies. Martindale-Hubbell® is the facilitator of a peer review rating process. Ratings reflect the anonymous opinions of members of the bar and the judiciary. Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Rating™ fall into two categories – legal ability and general ethical standards.
