Nick’s practice is devoted entirely to property tax appeals throughout Minnesota. Nick represents owners and occupants of all types of commercial property, including apartments, shopping centers, hotels, auto dealerships, office buildings, industrial facilities, and medical office buildings. Each year, Nick achieves substantial reductions in his clients’ assessed values, yielding millions of dollars in tax savings.

In 2022, Nick was first awarded the AV-Preeminent Rating, which is Martindale-Hubbell‘s highest peer rating standard, signifying a large number of his peers rank him at the highest level of professional excellence for his legal knowledge, communication skills, and ethical standards. Nick’s peers rated him 5.0/5.0.

Nick has been selected as a Super Lawyer for each of the last five consecutive years, dating back to 2022. Since 2016, Nick has served as a Regional Editor of the ABA’s Property Tax Deskbook, and for nearly two decades, Nick has been a frequent lecturer on the topics of property taxes, valuation, legal writing, and negotiation to audiences of appraisers, attorneys, commercial real estate brokers, property managers, and corporate tax personnel.
