After college, Mr. Else pursued his legal studies at the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis. While there, he served as the president of the St. Thomas Military Law Society and clerked with his present firm before being awarded his Juris Doctor in 2011. Mr. Else is admitted to practice before all Minnesota state courts.
An active participant in a variety of professional organizations, Mr. Else is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He has also served on the board of directors of the Minnesota Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. A former executive director of the Veterans Defense Project, Mr. Else acts as a consultant and adviser to Veterans' Voices, a program of the Minnesota Humanities Center.
