Samuel W. Diehl

Samuel W. Diehl is a well-regarded employment and business litigation attorney in Minneapolis, Minnesota. With a foundation in two nationally recognized law firms, he founded CrossCastle PLLC to offer efficient and cost-effective services. He has over 15 years of experience fighting hard for the rights and best interests of his clients.

As an experienced employment adviser, Mr. Diehl handles matters that involve trade secrets, noncompetition agreements, restrictive covenants, injunctions, contract disputes, employment discrimination, sexual harassment, termination and discipline issues, and whistleblower actions. He is also well-versed in civil disputes, leadership misconduct claims, administrative charges, First Amendment claims, government investigations, zoning and land use issues, and constitutional claims. 

Mr. Diehl has represented employees facing issues at the workplace as well as defended business owners ranging from startups to multinational corporations in several serious legal disputes. Furthermore, he provides legal counsel to churches, religious organizations and nonprofits facing investigations and other sensitive disputes. 

After completing his Bachelor of Arts at Princeton University in 1999, Mr. Diehl furthered his education by pursuing law. In 2007, he graduated cum laude with his Juris Doctor from the University of Minnesota Law School, where he served as the editor of the Minnesota Law Review. 

First admitted to practice in Minnesota in 2007, Mr. Diehl is also authorized to appear in the state courts of North Dakota, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit Court, the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, the U.S. District Court for the District of Nebraska, the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin. 

Mr. Diehl is a former legislative staff member in the U.S. House of Representatives, the subcommittee staff director for the U.S. House Agriculture Committee and an appointee at the U.S. Department of Labor.
