Attorney Susan M. Coler is a partner at the law firm of Halunen Law in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Ms. Coler represents whistleblowers in large and small cases involving qui tam actions and claims under the False Claims Act and the Financial Institutions Reform, Recovery and Enforcement Act of 1989. She serves clients in Minnesota and nationwide who have been defrauded by the government.

Ms. Coler received her license to practice law in 1991 and has more than 25 years of experience. Over the course of her career, she has been involved in many noteworthy cases resulting in multimillion-dollar settlements. She represents whistleblowers in industries including government contracts, health care, medical devices and small business.

Recognizing her contributions to the legal profession, Martindale-Hubbell awarded Ms. Coler an AV Preeminent* peer review rating. Additionally, she was awarded the Karla Wahl Dedicated Advocacy Award by the Minnesota chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association in 2015.

Ms. Coler is a regular speaker on whistleblower-related topics and the co-author of an article on class action lawsuits under the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967. After graduating summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in music from Loyola University Chicago, Ms. Coler earned master’s degrees in music history and pastoral studies. She received her law degree from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, graduating cum laude and serving on the Northwestern University Law Review. She holds a law license in both Minnesota and Illinois.
