Through the nonprofits in the Twin Cities and northern Minnesota, she gives a significant amount of time and effort to serving her community.

  • Susan was appointed in 2008 by the Chief Justice of Minnesota's Supreme Court to chair the Special Master Panel in the State of Minnesota's special compensation process for survivors of the I-35W bridge collapse.  Susan and two other attorneys developed the claims process, completed hearings with survivors, determined the amount of compensation each survivor would receive, and disbursed the $36.64 million appropriated by the Minnesota legislature for this purpose.
