A partner at Krueger, Juelich & Schmisek, PLLC, Elizabeth Juelich commits her practice to resolving family matters and estate planning throughout the Twin Cities area, including Minnetonka, Plymouth, Wayzata, and Edina. Family law and estate planning require an attorney to get to know clients on a personal level. Ms. Juelich takes a thorough, responsive approach to every case, which has garnered respect from her clients and peers. She understands that her clients’ families are their most valuable asset, and she tailors her representation to create a plan for their personal and financial future through legal and practical advice.
Ms. Juelich handles cases involving the following matters: divorce, spousal maintenance (alimony), child custody and parenting time, child support, allegations of abuse, mental health and chemical dependency concerns, executive compensation issues, closely-held businesses, complex property division, antenuptial (prenuptial) agreements, post-decree matters and modifications, orders for protection, wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care directives.
Ms. Juelich presents and has been published at both national and state forums on topics including tax implications, finding hidden assets, advanced discovery techniques, spousal maintenance, child support, dividing employee stock awards and retirement benefits, complex assets, executive compensation issues, qualified domestic relations orders, post-decree modifications, and estate planning considerations in divorce.
Ms. Juelich is the past Chair and alternate assembly representative for the MSBA's Family Law Section. She also enjoys giving back to the community by providing pro bono estate planning services to first responders through the Wills for Heroes program; preparing tax returns for low-income individuals; serving on the board and finance committee of Two Rivers Community Land Trust, a nonprofit providing affordable housing for low- and moderate-income individuals and families in Washington County, Minnesota; coaching and judging mock trial competitions; and mentoring law students and newer attorneys. Ms. Juelich has been honored for her pro bono work by receiving the North Star Lawyer certification, a designation given to attorneys who provide 50 or more hours of pro bono legal services in the year, from the Minnesota State Bar Association (MSBA) each year since the program's inception in 2012.
In order to remain engaged with current trends in her practice areas, Ms. Juelich holds memberships with the Family Law and Probate and Trust Law Sections of the MSBA, and she serves on the planning committee for an annual state-wide conference attended by approximately 450 family law practitioners.
Before being named a Super Lawyer, Ms. Juelich served on the Super Lawyers Rising Stars National Advisory Board where she represented the central region of the United States.
