Details
Focusing her practice entirely on family law matters, Linda J. Heine is the founder of and principal attorney at Heine Law PA. Located in New Ulm, Minnesota, she represents clients throughout Brown County and the Mankato area.
Ms. Heine attended Winona State University as an undergraduate, and she developed her passion for the law there by majoring in paralegal studies. After she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1987, she furthered her legal education in Saint Paul at William Mitchell College of Law (now Mitchell Hamline School of Law), and, in 1991, she was awarded her Juris Doctor degree. Ms. Heine became admitted to practice before all Minnesota state courts later that year.
Ms. Heine started her own firm after being associated with another area law firm for several years. Since that time, she has handled a variety of family law matters, and many of her clients are people whose marriages are coming to an end. Ms. Heine is a trained neutral mediator, so she is often able to help estranged spouses come to an accord on such issues as parenting time, property division, and spousal and child support without having to go through protracted battles. She has also assisted other divorcing clients through the negotiation of comprehensive settlement agreements, but when litigation is necessary, she is a forceful courtroom advocate on their behalf. Ms. Heine also has extensive experience in the preparation and review of prenuptial agreements, and she has additionally helped clients who are seeking the enforcement of or modifications to previously issued parenting or support orders.
