James T. McNary

Mr. McNary’s practice is focused on estate planning, probate and trust administration, and succession planning for farms and businesses. He regularly prepares revocable and irrevocable trusts, wills, powers of attorney, and health care directives. A significant portion of his practice is devoted to probate and trust administration. McNary has published several articles in state and national bar publications and is a frequent continuing education lecturer on topics related to estate planning and administration. He has taught courses on drafting under the Minnesota Trust Code, the administration of family trusts, the selection of fiduciaries, disclaimers, using powers of appointment in estate plans, business succession planning for farm families, probate, and ethics.
