Attorney Jeremy R. Stevens is a partner with the Bird, Stevens & Borgen, P.C., law firm, which has offices in Rochester and Bloomington, Minnesota. Working primarily out of the firm's Rochester law office, Mr. Stevens devotes his practice to litigation, and he specifically focuses on workers' compensation, personal injury and commercial litigation.
Certified as a civil trial specialist by the Minnesota State Bar Association and possessing more than 19 years of legal experience, Mr. Stevens has achieved considerable success advocating on behalf of injured and disabled workers, particularly those in the construction, meatpacking, manufacturing and health care industries. During the course of his career, he has secured numerous substantial verdicts and settlements for his plaintiff clients, and he has earned a membership in the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
As further evidence of his success, Mr. Stevens has received several awards and honors from his peers, including Minnesota Lawyer's Attorney of the Year Award in 2014. He has also achieved Gold Level Member status with the Minnesota Association for Justice, and he has received "Superb" client ratings on Avvo.
A 2000 graduate of Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, Mr. Stevens obtained his Juris Doctor from William Mitchell College of Law (now Mitchell Hamline School of Law) in 2000. While there, he served as editor of the Hamline Journal of Public Law and Policy. He holds his license to practice in Wisconsin as well as Minnesota, and he is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit.
A leader in his field, Mr. Stevens has served on the adjunct faculty at St. Mary's University, and he has worked with witnesses and other parties who have limited English-speaking capabilities on behalf of the Minnesota State Bar Association. He has also a member of the board of governors of the Minnesota Association for Justice.
