Attorney Kevin J. Wetherille is a shareholder at Jaspers Moriarty & Wetherille, P.A., in Shakopee, Minnesota. Mr. Wetherille has over 20 years of experience and provides committed legal representation to his clients. Over the course of his career, he has litigated many complex cases at the trial and appellate levels and has substantial experience in civil, criminal and family court.  Kevin has tried jury trials, bench trials and administrative hearings in counties ranging from southern Minnesota to the Twin Cities, to Duluth and Grand Marais.  

In addition to representing clients, Mr. Wetherille has been appointed by colleagues and judges to serve as a neutral personal representative in contested probate matters, Special Master in discovery-related disputes, arbitrator, Special Magistrate, Parenting Time Expeditor and is frequently appointed as a receiver to manage contested cases or carry out particular tasks as directed by a judge.  Mr. Wetherille has received these appointments from judges in Scott, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Anoka, Ramsey, Anoka and LeSueur Counties.  Mr. Wetherille is also frequently asked to serve as a mediator by his colleagues.   

In addition to running his law practice, Mr. Wetherille is greatly involved in his legal and professional communities. He is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association and has also participated in the Minnesota Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Minnesota Association for Justice and the American Association for Justice.

Mr. Wetherille has served as director or President of the Scott County Historical Society, President of Shakopee Dollars for Scholars and the Saints Foundation. He served on the Shakopee School District Human Services Academy industry council, the Greater MSP Partner Advisory Council and the Shakopee Chamber of Commerce Public Policy Committee.  Mr. Wetherille was also a youth basketball coach for all three of his children.  

Mr. Wetherille received a bachelor’s degree in history from Carleton College. He earned his law degree from William Mitchell College of Law. He is qualified to appear before all Minnesota state courts, the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota and the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community Tribal Court.
