Mr. Decker is able to help his clients resolve their conflicts and reach favorable agreements without the need for expensive, time-consuming and adversarial court battles. However, he also has extensive trial experience and will not hesitate to take his clients' matters to court when necessary. Prior to becoming an attorney, he worked with a local foster care agency supporting both children and adults.
A magna cum laude graduate of St. Cloud State University, where he earned a victimology certificate and a degree in community psychology with a minor in human relations, Mr. Decker obtained his Juris Doctor with honors from William Mitchell College of Law (now Mitchell Hamline School of Law).
A leader in his legal community, Mr. Decker has served as president of the Stearns-Benton Bar Association and the John E. Simonett American Inn of Court, and he is an active member of the Minnesota State Bar Association's Family Law Section. He routinely volunteers his time and services as a volunteer mediator.
He also supports his local community through his involvement with the St. Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce and as president of the Great River Rotary Club as well as through his activity as leadership board member of Greater St. Cloud Area Thrive which supports the early emotional and developmental needs of young children.
