Bethany J. Rubis

Bethany J. Rubis is a committed attorney who works out of the Messick Law, PLLC, Saint Paul office in Minnesota. Covering a broad range of practice areas, her practice encompasses matters regarding trust and estate litigation, civil litigation, business law and probate law. Striving to find personalized and creative solutions that match the requirements of her clients, she has been licensed to practice in Minnesota since 2016. 

After completing high school, Ms. Rubis enrolled in the College of Saint Benedict & Saint John’s University and obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology in 2007. In 2016, she graduated cum laude from Mitchell Hamline School of Law with her Juris Doctor degree. Even before graduating as a lawyer, she gained experience in the field, serving as a paralegal and law clerk at several family law and criminal defense firms across Minnesota. She also volunteered with the Minnesota Justice Foundation and the Cordoza Society.  

Before joining Messick Law, PLLC, Ms. Rubis advocated for trustees and debtors-in-possession in several litigations involving avoidance actions and bankruptcy and insolvency issues. Moreover, she has experience working in the areas of employment litigation and business litigation. She derives satisfaction from helping clients plan their future and manage their businesses, and aiding them navigate the difficult roads of law to achieve their goals or resolve issues to lead a better life. 

Ms. Rubis has professional ties with prestigious legal associations such as the Minnesota State Bar Association and the International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation. A socially committed individual, she extends her pro bono work to organizations such as the Wills for Heroes, helping first responders and their families draft wills, health care power of attorney and directive documents free of cost.
