While attending law school, she interned at the International Center for Transitional Justice and as a research assistant for Rashida Manjoo, a professor at the University of Cape Town, South Africa.

Following law school graduation, Ms. McRaith clerked for a Minnesota Supreme Court justice. She went on to practice as an immigration attorney at a private Minneapolis-based law firm before joining Binsfeld Law Firm in 2020. 

Outside of her law practice, Ms. McRaith serves as an adjunct professor for immigration law at the University of St. Thomas School of Law and an attorney adviser for the U.S. Department of Justice Fort Snelling Immigration Court. She holds a license to practice law before all Minnesota state courts and is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
