Jennifer M. Fitzgerald

At the St. Paul, Minnesota, law firm of Baehman Law, attorney Jennifer M. Fitzgerald focuses her practice exclusively on workers’ compensation law. Service-minded and accessible, she identifies the importance of resolving cases sensibly and in accordance with her clients’ objectives.  After a long career defending insurance companies in workers' compensation claims, she now uses that experience to fight for the rights of Minnesota workers.

With over seventeen years of legal experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants, Ms. Fitzgerald brings multifaceted skills and perspectives to each case and deftly tackles the most complicated workers’ compensation cases. She has handled a variety of cases including those involving cumulative trauma, death, undocumented immigrant workers, contractors, multiparty contribution claims and catastrophic physical and mental illnesses. She has represented her clients before the Minnesota Workers’ Compensation Court of Appeals, the Supreme Court of Minnesota and the Office of Administrative Hearings.

Majoring in sociology and criminology, Ms. Fitzgerald obtained her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Minnesota in 1998. She then graduated with honors from the Minnesota State University, Mankato, with a master’s degree in sociology in 2000. She earned her Juris Doctor cum laude from the Mitchell Hamline School of Law in 2005 and became authorized to practice law in Minnesota the same year.

Active in community and bar activities, Ms. Fitzgerald holds memberships in the Minnesota State Bar Association and the Hennepin County Bar Association.   She volunteers to serve as a swimming and soccer coach for youth in her community.
