Lisa Watson Cyr

For over 25 years, Lisa Watson Cyr has honed her skills as a compassionate and effective family law attorney. As part of the team at Bowden Cyr PLLC in St. Paul, Minnesota, Ms. Cyr devotes her practice to all aspects of family law, including divorce, child custody and support, parenting arrangements, complex property division and paternity. Understanding that this is a difficult time for most clients, Ms. Cyr takes care to listen to their concerns before building a strong case to achieve the best results possible. An experienced negotiator, Ms. Cyr keeps clients’ financial and emotional interests in mind, first attempting to resolve conflicts through mediation or other alternative resolution processes. However, as a skilled litigator, she will not hesitate to take matters to court when necessary.

After graduating summa cum laude from the University of Minnesota Duluth in 1995, Ms. Cyr earned her Juris Doctor from William Mitchell College of Law in 1998, graduating magna cum laude. She is admitted to practice law before the Minnesota State Bar and the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota.

Ms. Cyr has gained the recognition of her peers, receiving the highest rating of AV® Preeminent™ for ethical standards and legal ability and receiving 5/5 client rating through Martindale-Hubbell. She is an active member of the Minnesota, Ramsey County and Washington County bar associations. 

Ms. Cyr strongly believes in giving back to her community. She offers her services to people who otherwise would be unable to afford a lawyer, as a volunteer attorney with the Family Court Pro Se Legal Clinics in both Ramsey County and Washington County.
