An impressive education formed the cornerstone of Ms. Bowden Gunst's career. After graduating cum laude from Minnesota State University Moorhead in 1995, she received her Juris Doctor from William Mitchell College of Law, graduating cum laude in 1998. She is admitted to practice law in the state of Minnesota and before the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota.

Ms. Bowden Gunst is an active member of the community and Minnesota Association for Justice. She is currently the chair of the board to Renew Hope, an organization that helps survivors of sex-trafficking. She is also the past president of Legal Assistance of Washington County. Her experience has given her various opportunities to share her skills with others in her field. She has lectured on personal injury issues for the Minnesota Chiropractic Association, the Minnesota Association for Justice, and the National Business Institute.
