William A. (Bill) Sand

The founder of Sand Law, LLC, William A. (Bill) Sand focuses his practice exclusively on personal injury and wrongful death litigation. Based in Saint Paul, Minnesota, he provides representation to clients throughout the state. Mr. Sand attended Hamline University as an undergraduate, where he majored in business administration and earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2009. He then pursued his legal education at the University of San Diego School of Law, and in 2012, he was awarded his Juris Doctor.

Mr. Sand advocates on behalf of clients who have been harmed as the result of the negligence or recklessness of other persons or entities. The types of cases that he has worked on have included big rig and other motor vehicle crashes, animal bites, sexual assault, premises liability, nursing home abuse, and construction site accidents. Throughout his career, Mr. Sand has obtained significant amounts of compensation for his plaintiff clients through both jury verdicts and settlements that he negotiated out of court with the defendants’ liability insurance carriers. This successful track record has earned him a great deal of recognition from his fellow attorneys, including a 10.0 “Superb” peer-review rating through Avvo. In addition, Mr. Sand has been named to both The National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 Under 40 and the American Society of Legal Advocates: Top 40 Under 40.

Admitted to practice before all Minnesota state courts since 2013, Mr. Sand is also admitted to practice in Arizona and North Dakota. Active in several legal organizations, his affiliations include the Minnesota Association for Justice, the Ramsey County Bar Association, and the American Association for Justice.
