Focusing his practice on administrative, business and corporate law, including litigation in those areas, James R. Mozingo is a principle at MOZINGO|QUARLES, PLLC. He provides dedicated legal guidance and representation to clients throughout Mississippi and the southeastern United States. Mozingo has handled matters throughout the United States, in Canada, Europe and Asia. Mr. Mozingo draws on over 40 years of experience to help him guide executives, business owners and companies through a range of legal matters, including government contracts (including privatizations and matters involving water and wastewater treatment), sales and acquisitions, contracts of all kinds, business formation and operation, business bankruptcy, and business and commercial litigation.

While he is an adept business and commercial litigator, Mr. Mozingo is also an experienced contract lawyer and advisor. His participation in business and commercial litigation has given Mr. Mozingo unique insight, which he uses to help clients avoid future legal pitfalls. As lead counsel, he helped recover for his client real estate worth over $1 million that had been deeded and mortgaged without authority; he negotiated the first privatization contract for wastewater treatment facilities in Mississippi with the City of Jackson and has negotiated numerous other such contracts in Mississippi and elsewhere in the Southeast. Mr. Mozingo has received the highest possible rating of AV Preeminent* from Martindale-Hubbell.

He is a fellow of the Mississippi Bar Foundation and a past-president of the Mississippi Water Environment Association.

In 1975, Mr. Mozingo earned a Bachelor of Arts in politics from Washington and Lee University. He went on to receive a Juris Doctor with Distinction from the Mississippi College School of Law in 1978.
