Shanda M. Yates

Shanda M. Yates is an attorney with Burns & Associates, PLLC, who handles premises liability litigation for clients in Mississippi. Her practice also includes offshore and maritime accidents, car and truck wrecks, premises liability claims such as negligent security or slip-and-fall accidents, and workers’ compensation claims. For over five years, she has been named as a Leader in Law by the Mississippi Business Journal and a Top 10 Personal Injury Attorney Under 40 by the National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys.

In 2007 she graduated cum laude as a dean’s list scholar from Mississippi College School of Law with a Juris Doctor. She was also a comment and case note editor of the Law Review for the Mississippi College School of Law during her time in school.
