J. Keith Pearson

Keith Pearson was born and raised in the Mississippi Delta.  At the age of 18, Keith’s father started working for the U.S. Gypsum Company in Greenville and worked his way up to management over a 40-year career.  Keith was among the first generation of his family to go to college.  He attended college, graduate school and law school in Mississippi and has practiced law in the state for over 25 years.  Keith started his practice with a firm in Vicksburg but soon jumped at the chance to move back to his hometown of Greenville and work with Victor McTeer, a renowned attorney widely known for his skills in the courtroom.  Keith then moved to Oxford and became a shareholder in a multi-office firm which primarily represented insurance companies and corporate clients.  Along the way, Keith represented insurance companies such as State Farm, Aetna, Allstate, Travelers, Hartford, and USF&G in litigation matters.  He also represented national companies such as Ford Motor Company and Besam Automatic Doors as well as scores of local businesses.

In 2009, Keith left the large firm where he was practicing and started his own law firm.  At the time, Keith had no clients, and Keith and his wife Missy were raising their four school-age children.  Keith’s decision to “hang a shingle” was like jumping out of an airplane without a parachute.  However, Keith’s faith paid off, as the Pearson Law Firm steadily picked up new clients, mostly by word of mouth from satisfied past clients. 

Since 2009, the Pearson Law Firm has exclusively represented real people dealing with real problems.  The firm provides the same high-quality representation for clients across the entire state of Mississippi as Keith provided for his corporate clients for many years.
