Keith D. Obert

Attorney Keith D. Obert is a partner at Obert Law Group, P.A., in Ridgeland, Mississippi. Mr. Obert devotes his practice to personal injury law, products liability, and premises liability law, representing both plaintiffs and defendants in civil litigation matters. He serves clients injured due to negligence, as well as those alleged to have been negligent, throughout the Jackson, Mississippi, metropolitan area, and Mississippi, Alabama and Tennessee. He also serves as a Certified Mediator in all types of civil litigation and other disputes. 

Mr. Obert has more than 33 years of experience litigating civil matters. Over the course of his career, he has handled personal injury matters involving insurance, motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, products liability, toxic torts and uninsured/underinsured motorist claims. He is a seasoned litigator with more than 250 trials and a Certified Mediator for more than 18 years.

In addition to managing his law practice, Mr. Obert regularly speaks at continuing legal education seminars on topics, including civil litigation, trial practice, expert witness depositions, insurance and ethics. He is a member of professional organizations, including the Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association, the Mississippi Claims Association, the Defense Research Institute and the American Bar Association.

Mr. Obert earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Alabama. He received his law degree from the University of Mississippi School of Law. In 1988, he obtained his licenses to practice law in Mississippi and Tennessee, and in Alabama in 1989. He is qualified to appear before all Mississippi state and federal courts and many state and federal courts in Alabama and Tennessee, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th and 11th Circuits.
