The founder of Benjamin Law Firm DWI & Criminal Defense Lawyers in Belton, Missouri, Kim Benjamin, is a formidable defense attorney focusing her practice on criminal defense, DUI/DWI, sex offense and traffic violations. Serving clients across Kansas City, her experience extends to handling cases involving employment discrimination and personal injury, having previously assisted a civil firm in securing the largest employment discrimination verdict in Cass County.

A fierce advocate, Ms. Benjamin is a relentless fighter, whether defending a client or standing up to powerful corporations. Over the course of her career, she has tried more than 70 jury trials and over 300 bench trials, handling high-stakes cases ranging from murder and assault to robbery, rape and child abuse. Certified by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in field sobriety testing, she uses her specialized training to scrutinize officer procedures, challenge flawed evidence and fiercely protect her clients' rights.

An alumna of the University of Missouri, Ms. Benjamin holds a bachelor’s degree in political science, with honors in interdisciplinary studies spanning speech communication and psychology. She then pursued her legal education at The George Washington University Law School, where she received her Juris Doctor in 1996. In the same year, she was admitted to The Missouri Bar.
