Admitted to practice in Illinois and Missouri, Mr. Zellers is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and The Missouri Bar. Combining aggressive techniques, thorough investigation, sound trial strategy and weaknesses in the opposition’s cases, Mr. Zellers protects the rights of those injured by the negligence of another as he seeks to obtain compensation for them.
Mr. Zellers earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Saint Louis University before attending Saint Louis University School of Law, where he graduated with his Juris Doctor. He received training from some of the nation’s experts in defending those charged with driving while intoxicated. - The selection process for the Rising Stars list is the same as the Super Lawyers selection process, with one exception: to be eligible for inclusion in Rising Stars, a candidate must be either 40 years old or younger or in practice for 10 years or less. All attorneys first go through the Super Lawyers selection process. Those who are not selected to the Super Lawyers list, but who meet either one of the Rising Stars eligibility requirements, go through the Rising Stars selection process. While up to five percent of the lawyers in the state are named to Super Lawyers, no more than 2.5 percent are named to the Rising Stars list, Super Lawyers Rising Star, Super Lawyers, 2024

These comments were made by fellow attorneys during the annual nomination process.
“Chris is an exceptional attorney and counselor for his clients. He gets tremendous results and truly cares about the outcomes for his clients. Day in and day out Chris goes to bat for his clients, often having to challenge defense counsel and even judges. He's tenacious and tireless.”
“Chris would be my personal choice if I ever found myself charged with a DWI. In fact, I regularly refer clients to Chris. He is one of the very few DWI lawyers in the St. Louis area who dramatically increases his client's chance of attaining a favorable result in a DWI case. ”
“Chris a tremendous lawyer. He's often overlooked as one of the St. Louis area's top criminal defense lawyers, and he really shouldn't be. It won't be long until he's recognized as one of the best.”
