Susan Ward

The founder of the Law Offices of Susan L. Ward, LLC, Susan Ward has focused her practice on family law issues for most of her professional career. Her firm is located in St. Louis, Missouri, and she provides compassionate and dedicated representation to clients throughout the greater metropolitan area and other parts of the region. Ms. Ward majored in marketing at the University of Missouri–St. Louis, and in 1988, she received a Bachelor of Science. She remained in the city for her legal education at the Saint Louis University School of Law, and in 1991, she was awarded her Juris Doctor. She is admitted to practice in both Missouri and Illinois.

Many of Ms. Ward’s clients are people who are seeing their marriages come to an end, and she provides them with advice and counsel on such divorce-related legal issues as property division, spousal and child support, and child custody and visitation. She is often able to help them reach an accord on some or all of these matters through taking the lead in negotiating a settlement agreement, but if talks break down and litigation becomes necessary, she is a forceful courtroom advocate on their behalf.

In addition to her divorce practice, Ms. Ward has represented people whose marriages have already been dissolved and who are now seeking to have existing support or parenting court orders modified, and she has also helped other clients defend against such requests. Additional family law matters that Ms. Ward has significant experience in include the obtaining of protective orders for victims of domestic violence.
